Rigid Heddle Loom Weaving Workshops

Join me for handweaving workshops in Somerset and beyond, using Ashford rigid heddle looms and British wool.

I run various projects and workshops during the year, where you can learn how to weave a coaster, a table runner, a scarf, or something else of your choosing on a rigid heddle loom.

Workshops are suitable for beginners or those who have had a little experience in handweaving.

I have recently run workshops in Midsomer Norton, Peasedown St John and at the Radstock Fayre.

Please contact me to find out about upcoming workshop dates.

Frame Loom
Weaving Workshops

Join me for handweaving workshops on frame looms in Somerset and beyond.  My workshops are suitable for beginners and for people who have had some experience with handweaving.

Having also worked in social care since 2007, I am welcoming of people of all abilities and can also adapt workshops particularly to suit people with learning disabilities, mental health conditions or dementia.

I have recently run workshops in Shepton Mallet, Frome, Fernhill Farm and at New Brewery Arts in Cirencester.

Textile Impact
Fibreshed Workshops

My Accessible Fibreshed workshops introduce the principles of Fibreshed through sensory elements, film, discussion and sorting through discarded charity shop clothing. The workshops spark discussion about the negative impacts of fast fashion, man-made petroleum based fibres such as polyester and acrylic and how the Fibreshed ethos counteracts this with its focus on biodegradable, locally grown and made textiles.

These workshops are important in helping people to become more aware of their connectivity to fashion and the planet. The workshops have been designed for adults with learning disabilities but can be adapted for different audiences, including schools.
